Central Railway has not Declared Mega Block

The Official twitter of Divisional Railway Manager- Mumbai Division of Western Railway Release News – On 23.02.20 Sunday, a major block of 5 hrs from 10.35 to 15.35 will be taken on local lines between Churchgate-Mumbai Central stations. During block all trains will be operated on Through lines. Due to which, some trains will remain cancelled and detail is available at SM office

Due to these blocks, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling on foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains. These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

Mega Block Central Line:

The Central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway is a public transit system serving Mumbai. It consists of 24 stations from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (C.S.M.T.) to Kalyan Junction. It has section of quadruple track starting from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and ends at Kasara, Roha, Lonavala and Khopoli junctions.

Mega Block Harbour Line Mumbai:

The Harbour line is a branch line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway operated by Central Railways. It was named so because it catered to the eastern neighbourhoods along the city’s natural harbour. Its terminial are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Andheri and Panvel on the CST-Andheri, CST-Panvel and Panvel-Andheri routes.
