It has been decided by Railway Board to introduce new train no. 06551/06552 Karwar-Vasco Da Gama-Karwar Express Special (Daily Unreserved). Details are as under:
Train no. 06551 Karwar-Vasco Da Gama Express Special Daily (Unreserved) will leave from Karwar at 08:30 hrs daily from 09th March 2020. Train will reach Vasco – Da – Gama at 10:30 hrs on the same day.
Train no. 06552 Vasco Da Gama-Karwar Express Special Daily (Unreserved) will leave from Vasco Da Gama at 15:20 hrs daily from 08th March 2020. Train will reach Karwar at 17:45 hrs on the same day.

While there is a plan to curtail 16513/14 and 16523/24, a suggestion is to extend the train 16511/12 and 16517/18 up to Calicut and increase the coaches, thereby it can facilitate Mangalore city and north kerala passengers. This route will definitely provide good connection and turn profitable too.
