Tourist Train Ticket Fare in suburban sections
Rationalisation of Tourist Ticket Fare in suburban sections
Railways will rationalise the fare of Tourist Tickets in Mumbai Suburban Section of Central and Western Railways with immediate effect. The revised fare for tourist tickets will be as under:
- Second class: Validity of 1 day – basic fare Rs.50; validity of 3 days – basic fare Rs.94; validity of 5 days – basic fare Rs.116
- First class: Validity of 1 day – basic fare Rs.200; validity of 3 days – basic fare Rs.376; validity of 5 days – basic fare Rs.464
- AC EMU: Validity of 1 day – basic fare Rs.260; validity of 3 days – basic fare Rs.490; validity of 5 days – basic fare Rs.600
Note:
- CIDCO surcharge shall not be applicable on tourist tickets. Other charges like MUTP, MRTS and MMTS on tourist tickets for both second and first class shall be levied at par with that applicable for season tickets for 11-50 km
- The basic fare of child tickets shall be half the basic fares, rounded off to next higher multiple of Rs.5/- wherever required. Other charges shall be levied in full.
- These tourist tickets will be valid for travel any number of times, from any station to any station on the suburban sections of all Indian Railways and valid up to mid-night of their date of validity as the case may be.
- Tourist tickets can be issued maximum 3 days in advance excluding the first day of validity.
- No concession shall be admissible to anyone on tourist tickets.
Refund: No refund shall be admissible on unused/partially used tourist tickets under any circumstances.However, tourist tickets booked in advance can be cancelled after deducting usual clerkage charges (which is at present Rs.30/- for second class and Rs.60/- for first class.) before the first day of validity.
