MMTS First Class Fare reduced upto 50%

1st class base fares for suburban single journey have been reduced with effect from 05.05.2022

Passengers travelling in the suburban sections between Falaknuma – Secunderabad – Hyderabad – Lingampalli – Ramchandrapuram will be benefitted.

The fare of the popular sub – urban train service in the twin cities of Secunderabad – Hyderabad region i.e.. MMTS (Multi – Modal Transport Service) is set to reduce by upto 50% for the First Class Single journey passengers. The Ministry of Railways has decided to rationalize the basic fares of First Class in the suburban train services with effect from 5th May 2022. Accordingly, the First – class base fares for single journey for the passengers travelling in the MMTS trains over Sub – urban sections of Secunderabad and Hyderabad Divisions has been reduced.

The reduced fares for single journey passengers travelling in First class in MMTS will be as

South central Railways has been progressively increasing the number of MMTS services for benefit of sub – urban passengers, since the resumption of these train sendees after the COVID imposed lockdown. Currently. 86 services are being operated across a stretch of 50 Kms spread over the sections of Falaknuma – Secunderabad – Hyderabad – Begumpet – Lingampalli – Telapur – Ramchandrapuram covering 29 Railway stations. The services have been planned to cater to the travel needs of all the passengers duly taking into account the peak hour traffic across different stations of the MMTS section. Reduction of the fare will further benefit passengers by making available a fast and cheap transport means for the sub – urban passengers of the twin city region.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager (In – Charge). SCR has appealed to the passenger to avail this benefit. He said that with the summer season setting – in and with the gradual increase in the MMTS passengers, this reduction in fare will immensely benefit the First Class segment of passengers availing these services.
