Outsourcing scheme of the Indian Railways is JTBS or Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking

This allows entrepreneurs to set up ticket sales counters near railway stations and sell unreserved train tickets.

Selected Jansadharan ticket reservation servers (operators) sell unreserved train tickets through computerized UTS (Un-booked Ticket System) terminals.

JTBS was conceptualized and introduced to improve the delivery of unpaid tickets in urban areas and to provide jobs other than railway stations.

These will benefit travelers as they can get public tickets to the market instead of going to the station.
